I was little and wanted to dance. I had one year of ballet and moved on to tap and then jazz where I fell in love with dance. I danced all through high school with my three best friends. We spent countless hours dancing. It saved me. I went through a bit of a rebellious stage and would skip school to go skiing but I always made it back for dance practice. My parents surely suffered through more than enough of their fare share of competitions, recitals and impromptu home entertainment. I still love it and get all giddy walking into a ballet studio.
I thought all girls loved to dance and when my oldest daughter turned three I promptly put her in ballet and forced her through two years of ballet. Force is the best word, she liked it ok, but I could tell that I loved it more than she did.
Along comes daughter number 2 and so I thought I would give it another try, and go figure, she LOVES it! It makes my heart smile to see her light up when I say it is time for dance. She spends the day in her ballet clothes and lives in her costumes. So here are her little lovely ballerina friends at their recital last week. Love that day almost as much as new snow.
So thanks Mom and Dad for letting me love dance and now I get to love it with my daughter.
and here are a few of her little adorable friends...

You make me smile. What beautiful pictures. I wish we had the same quality - could never match the quantity - of pictures of you and your sister dancing. I'm loving the memories of my little girls.
LOVE the pictures! Looks like I need to be sure and get Scarlett in Ava's class next year!:) Ella was in her class last year.

That last shot is so great!!
And I'm jealous. I'm forced to sit behind a glass window rather than having access to shoot in the studio! :{ You're so LUCKY!!!
