Beginning Portrait Photography
2 hours plus a homework assignment ( mean teacher that I am :)
$100
Do you want to learn how to use your digital camera? Take better pictures of your family? This is for all the camera lovers that have a camera (point and shoot or DSLR) with no idea how to use it, or little idea as to how to use it to its potential. If you are like me you hate user manuals and want someone to show you what to do. This is the class for you. We will go through tips for better portraits, the functions of your camera, aperture, shutter speed, iso, and what those all mean, as well as focal length, lens selection, how to find good light, and ways to help your subject act natural.
Since I am a portrait photographer we will focus on portrait lighting and catching the moments in your life. I will show you how to set up something simple in your own home and walk you through taking a better portrait. Composition, lighting, tricks for catching the moment, and anything else you would love to ask I would love to give it my best answer!
Manual Mode Portrait Photography
2 hours plus a homework assignment (not very nice huh?)
$100
Do you want to make the move away from using auto? How about taking the leap to learn how to shoot in manual mode? Perhaps you already shoot in manual mode and want to see how I shoot in manual mode, how I pick my focal length, or aperture or shutter speed? We will talk about how to take better portraits, with emphasis on composition and lighting. We will be practicing a lot during this class and so be ready to get your camera out and go to work.
These will be small classes (up to 5 people) at my home-studio and so space will be limited. Look forward to hearing from you!

Dang I wish I lived there! I would love to learn how to use my camera. I never use it!
I wish I lived near there too! I take pictures everyday by my Cannon 500D but only in auto modes. Photography is my hobby.
