Every once in awhile I get to enjoy a moment of inspiration. This first shot was one of those moments for me. I had three minutes to finish an assignment for an online course that I'm taking and the sun was right for the look I wanted. We ran into middle of the street with a huge step ladder and I jumped up there and told my oldest daughter to jump rope. She absolutely loves to jump rope and carries one in her backpack daily. I loved the look on her face, and I was so excited that the composition turned out just the way I wanted it only better. HA! Light is so dang fun!

I am in love with the first one. okay, so I'm in love with both of them but the first one stands out to me...the look on her face is priceless. I can't believe how gorgeous your kids are.

So cute, Julie! What online course are you taking? I'm always looking for new classes--especially some sort of off-camera flash class.
