You might not even be sad to see this building go since I have posted something from this location often in the last few posts. I loved this place. It had beautiful light, textures, colors and a place I found creative and inspiring.
We are not even sure what it once was but have a suspicion it was a slaughter house. I was a little creaped out to be there by myself and I often called Jane to have her talk to me while I waited.
I went several times and found other photographers there, once I found it roped off with a no trespassing sign. That scared me away for a few weeks until I saw someone had taken it down and there were no signs to be had. I decided I could play ignorant if I got in trouble. I knew this building was condemned since I had tried to get permission from the county tax records.
Saturday I met Shanda and her loved ones at the building and there was a huge demolition truck there. I was so relieved to see that they were not working. We snuck in ... one .... last shoot. Shanda had patiently waited for me to fit her in to my schedule since I was booked with the holiday rush. She was so sweet and relaxed that it made my day to just feel happy about photography. Absolutely fun and amazing described my session with them. Enjoy the last of the abandoned building.
