Ok so I cried when the doctor told me my older daughter would have to have her tonsils out when we were at the two week check up for her younger sister. I couldn't do it again, it broke my heart, it was a horrible two weeks and I just didn't want to do it...again. But, this kid was such a breeze, well maybe not a breeze but it was amazing to have someone that understood why she needed medicine, how it would help her, and we could reason with her when she was sad! YAY! I mean she has had her fair share of pain, nausea and just being all around miserable but not near as bad as her sister. We are at day 8 today and she is doing so well what a blessing to have it over with!!!
We spent all day at the surgery center playing games and reading books waiting for our turn. We were both hungry but she was so patient and sweet. The doc asked if she had any loose teeth. The tooth fairy had come the night before for her first front tooth and I was begging her to get her other tooth out so we could take a two front teeth missing picture. We both smiled at each other knowing what I was thinking when the doc told her that sometimes the tooth fairy comes and takes her teeth while she is asleep for surgery. Sure enough she is toothless and $2.78 richer with a little treasure box holding her tooth. In her drug induced slumber at bed that night she was asking for her treasure box to put under her pillow hoping the tooth fairy might come for a third time in 24 hours. I declined thinking the fairy had worked quite hard enough. I love her toothless grin!

Both of Syd's front teeth are loose too...next come the gigantic teeth :) Thank goodness for braces!
I'm glad she's feeling better. (did the dr. charge a 'tooth extraction' fee? check your bill :)
aw, what a sweetie. She is your twin. We'll see how much of a twin when those 2 teeth come in. :)
Again?! Oh man. :{
Thankfully it was a "good" experience. And she is adorable, by the way. :)
