i have fond memories of loosing my two front teeth. perhaps it is because they were gone for 3 years. yes, i did not have a single tooth in the front for an entire three years. due in part to a very hard headed sister (no fault on her part, i think?:) and a trampoline when i was too young to loose my teeth. they were knocked out and did not want to come in. it was a family joke every christmas to sing the song "all i want for christmas is my two front teeth!" the dentist did eventually help my teeth come back and i think i was better off without them. they were enormous and crooked and soon i became nicknamed "sophie" after the buck toothed horse on mash. what would we do without big brothers!
anyway loosing both front teeth is a momentous occasion in our family! it was hangin on by a thread and matt had been trying to get in there and pull it out for days. luckily it fell out on it's own and we can get some sleep around here. calvin was worried matt was going to come in and pull it in the middle of the night!

I love smiles with no teeth...be it a little baby or an eight year old that just lost them...it's my favorite!
I have often wondered where you got the nickname of Sophie. How come I didn't know this story?
Love those big brothers.
