here is the mother of the year award coming my way -
first i got stuck after school on friday with my son's teacher (who knew you could need a parent teacher conference the first 8 days of school!) and realized in the middle of it that my kindergartner was off the bus and waiting at my house and i was not there. horrible, i know, i was dying. luckily i have the best neighbor that ran over and grabbed her as she was trying every combination of numbers to get into the garage.
then yesterday i was back at school trying to figure out my sensitive little guy and the meeting that was supposed to be a couple of minutes lasted an hour! My awesome friend had my kids and took Abi and her son to their first music class of the year. the parents were supposed to be there and no siblings could attend. i was dying when i found out she had stuck my three year old in the class who is not enrolled and we both were totally late getting to the first music class of the year. Abi didn't even notice i was there or not. late yet again! i hate guilt!
to get over my guilt i was scheduled to help in her class and i was so excited to just have a day about her. then my son gets sick so I went to help in her class anyway and had to leave my sick son home watching tv. he was thrilled to get free reign and had my cell phone number and phone right by him. we made it work and it was so fun to see her and how much she loves school. i wish i was more like her!
this is the neighbors cat that we have adopted since our cat bites and scratches. they call him tiger but his name is alley.

Ugh, the middle child! I struggle with the same emotions...guilt! Is she doing "Let's Play Music" or a different music class??
Yes - I love it do you guys have let's play music in AZ? I forgot to put in there that I lost her shirt so she couldn't even wear it on the first day either.
Miss Independent! Cracks me up she wasn't crying when she got home from school and she couldn't get in the house. What a little stud. Don't feel guilt. You are the best mom I know!
Julie! Samantha does Let's Play Music also...I believe it started in AZ and has moved. I know that the lady that started it lives in Mesa! We are in our second year and I think it's FANTASTIC! I figured it was that since you said you needed to go with her!
I left Kallie home alone while we went swimming the other day. We weren't very far away and she thought she was seriously hot stuff hanging out alone with the dog!
And ditto what your sister said...you're the best mom I know!
