Yes, I wasn't holding life together very well yesterday and sometimes it seems as if I am drowning trying to keep up with just the little things. Life with four kids can be overwhelming just to get dressed sometimes but I looked at this picture and thought I'm grateful for the piles of laundry.
I'm grateful for a darling daughter that realized I had reached my limit and not only unloaded the dishwasher like I asked but loaded it back up with dirty dishes. She followed me around and helped with laundry and making my bed at 6pm. (I didn't get dressed until 1 and yes I had to meet the air conditioner man in my pjs since he came an hour early)
I'm grateful for air conditioning - it went out when I was baking bread and our house was a little toasty but it is now fixed and we are COOL!
I'm grateful for little moments where I do something right by these guys. I'm grateful for a husband who realized it was a bad night to come home late and made it up to me by taking all the kids grocery shopping, washing my car, and walking a very fussy baby around until 1:30am.
Im grateful for all the strangers that come up to me and say "you are so lucky to have four children."
I'm grateful to be reminded when it is easy to forget.
I love you guys!

I'm absolutely crying right now. I miss these kids so much. I wish i could come steal them from you on those hard days or just be with you to help. I would even move to ID to be with you guys! Such an amazing picture Jules. Glad you got the wheat field before it was gone.

I think everything would be pretty near perfect if we could all have a maid and a cook. Then we could stop worrying about the laundry and the dirty toilets and just concentrate on spending good quality time with our kiddos. Bring it up to Matt and see what he says :)
