this is my favorite picture and favorite memory of our trip to oregon. lizard hunting was the highlight! on our hike the kids had their eyes open and didn't miss too many lizards and most of them were caught. only one tail was lost and they were fascinated that it continued wiggling. i don't even touch the lizards but have fun documenting the momentous occasion!

we hiked the lava tube - 5,000 ft into the earth. it was a cool experience (literally 40 degrees, no pun intended :) the kids were a little freaked out at first but once they got used to the lantern light and total darkness beyond it was way fun. this is a picture of matt and the kids coming out of the cave.

lots of gnarly wood everywhere

her face all tender and sweet toward that!?! what do you expect from an animal lover!

bike riding was awesome and we had a blast until matt's brand new bike (bought for this trip) broke and he had to scoot. missed a picture of that one!

little friend hiding from me taking pictures
our little trip to the high desert was way fun despite the record breaking temperatures of 106 degrees. even that makes memories!
